Recycling: First, get a recycliing bin by calling the Solid
Waste Customer Service Center at 704-336-2673. Place the container
2 feet from the curb. You may recycle: Newspapers and magazines, Shopping
catalogues, Home office paper, Tin/steel cans, Glass containers, Aluminum
cans, Milk jugs, Corrugated cardboard, Plastic soft drink, liquor
bottles, Spiral paper cans, and Telephone books. See below for schedule
of pick up.
Gargage collection: The Rollout Container A 90 gallon Rollout
container is furnished to each property receiving collection from
City crews. If you need an additional container, call the Solid Waste
Customer Service Center at 704-336-2673. If you are a customer with
a disability or other physical limitation that does not permit you
to roll the container to the curb, call the Solid Waste Customer Service
Center at 704-336-2673 to discuss special arrangements for collection.
